GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men’s golf team closed out the fall portion of its 2009-10 season by tying for seventh among 12 teams at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational Tuesday afternoon at The Links at Gettysburg.

The Bullets, who shot a 345, were led by senior Reid Sessa (Garden City, N.Y./Xavier), who tied for 10th among 59 golfers by carding an 81. Freshman Austin Smith (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) tied for 31st with an 87 while junior Peter Ruymann (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) tied for 33rd with an 88.

Junior Peter Kratsios (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) completed the team scoring with an 89, tying for 36th, while sophomore George Whitelaw (Weston, Mass./Dexter School) tied for 45th with a 91.

Gettysburg also fielded a “B” team, which tied for ninth with a 353. Senior Matt Anderson (Dunkirk, Md./Calverton School) tied for 29th with an 86 while junior Connor Delaney (Menands, N.Y./Hotchkiss School), sophomore Jim Fellows (Bow, N.H./Bow), and junior Colin Quinn (Manhasset, N.Y./Chaminade) each recorded an 89 to tie for 36th.

Messiah College ran away with the team title, winning by 31 strokes with a 300. The Falcons had the top four individual finishers, including medalist Dan Wort, who shot a 73.
