Hollis Stahl (Hightstown, N.J./Peddie School) needs your votes to become
Lacrosse Magazine's 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year!
Stahl was selected by the
Lacrosse Magazine staff as one of four potential candidates to cop the nation's top player award in Division III next spring. Joining her on the list are three superb players from notable collegiate programs in The College of New Jersey's Alison Jaeger, Catholic University's Kate Robinson, and Trinity (Conn.) College's Rachel Romanowsky. Stahl will actually face two of her three cohorts on the poll during the regular season as Gettysburg has scheduled contests against Catholic on March 11 and against TCNJ on April 3. Stahl brings a hefty resume into her final campaign with the Orange & Blue. In three seasons, she has racked up 134 goals, 11th on the Bullets' star-studded all-time scoring list. The 2009 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro/South Player of the Year, and Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) first-team All-America, Stahl logged a goal in every single contest last spring and led Gettysburg to the national semifinals. She was also tabbed first-team All-CC, first-team All-ECAC, first-team All-Metro Region, and womenslacrosse.com second-team All-America.
Gettysburg kicks off the 2010 season on Feb. 25 with a road trip to the University of Mary Washington. The Bullets open the Centennial Conference campaign at Washington (Md.) College on March 6 and the first home contest of the year will occur on March 23 against Middlebury College.
