ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore Peter Ruymann (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) shot a six-over-par 78 to lead the Bulets on the first day of the Centennial Conference Men’s Golf Championships, hosted by Gettysburg College, at the Bridges Golf Club on Friday.

As a team, Gettysburg carded a 333 over the opening 18 holes and is in sixth place among six teams. Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall are tied for the team lead with a 316, followed by McDaniel (319), Muhlenberg (322), and Swarthmore (331).

With 36 holes remaining, Ruymann is tied for seventh place among 35 golfers and is just two strokes behind leader Andrew Woods (76) of F&M.

Also competing for the Bullets are sophomore Peter Kratsios (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset), who is in 17th place with an 82; sophomore Connor Delaney (Menands, N.Y./Shaker), who is tied for 22nd with an 84; junior Reid Sessa (Garden City, N.Y./Xavier), 29th with an 89; and freshman Jim Fellows (Bow, N.H./Bow), tied for 33rd with a 94.

Round Two will be held on Saturday, and the championship will conclude on Sunday.
