BALTIMORE – The Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team has received its second No. 3 preseason ranking, this time from Lacrosse Magazine, it was recently announced.

Gettysburg, which finished as the NCAA Division III runner-up in 2009, was ranked behind only No. 2 Stevenson University and No. 1 SUNY Cortland, the defending national champion. Rounding out the top-10 were No. 4 Haverford College, No. 5 Salisbury University, No. 6 Denison University, No. 7 Roanoke College, No. 8 Middlebury College, No. 9 Western New England College, and No. 10 Cabrini College.

The Bullets were also ranked No. 3 in Inside Lacrosse's Faceoff Yearbook earlier this year.

Gettysburg finished 16-4 (7-1 CC) and won their sixth straight Centennial Conference title a year ago. The Bullets return seven of their top 10 scorers and seven players who started a year ago.

The Bullets play their 2010 opener at home when they take on Messiah College Feb. 24 at 3:30 p.m.
