Men’s Lax Ranked No. 1 for Second Straight Week

Bullets Coming Off 2-0 Week


PERRY, N.Y. – For the second week in a row, the Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team has been ranked No. 1, according to the Week 3 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Top-20 Poll released Monday.

The Bullets (6-0, 1-0 CC) are coming off a 2-0 week in which they defeated Merchant Marine 19-3 before topping No. 14 Haverford College 10-9 in their Centennial Conference opener.

Gettysburg received 237 points and nine of the 12 first-place votes. Stevenson University picked up the other three first-place votes and finished just seven points back at No. 2 with 230 points.

No. 3 Salisbury University (217 pts.), and No. 4 SUNY Cortland (181 pts.), and No. 5 Middlebury College (178 pts.) rounded out the top-five.

The Bullets return to action on Wednesday, when they visit No. 19 Cabrini College at 3:30 p.m. in a non-conference outing.
