2009-10 NWCA Scholar Team Awards

MANHEIM, Pa. – The Gettysburg College wrestling team gets the job done on the mats and in the classroom as the Bullets were tabbed a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar Team according to a recent release by the organization.

Gettysburg ranked 13th on the 20-team list with a GPA of 3.293. The GPA is calculated as an average of the top 10 students on each team. Williams College held down the top spot in the Scholar Team rankings with a combined GPA of 3.543, followed by Ohio Northern University (3.484), Coe College (3.482), Wesleyan University (3.442), and Johnson & Wales University (3.434).

The Bullets posted a 3-13 dual record this winter, including a 2-5 mark in the Centennial Conference. Head Coach Andy Vogel loses only one senior to graduation from his 18-man roster.
