Kelsey Boyce (Arrowsic, Maine/Morse) for Gettysburg's first point of the day at third doubles as the duo beat Dina Zingaro and Kelsey Johnson 8-6.
In singles play, the Garnet cruised to straight-set wins at each of the top three positions before being tested in the bottom three flights. Freshman
Laura Habecker (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) and Boyce each dropped their opening sets 6-3 at fourth and sixth singles, respectively, before battling back to force third frames. Habecker took the second 7-5 before falling 10-5 to Alexis Hickman, and Boyce won the second 6-3 before also falling to 10-5 to Taylor Tucker.
MacKenzie kept her singles record perfect (5-0) on the year with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Luann Cignavitch at No. 5.
Gettysburg will tackle another regionally-ranked conference foe when it travels to No. 9 Washington (Md.) College on Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m.
