Jim Fellows each shot a collegiate-best 77 as the Gettysburg College men’s golf team posted a season-low 319, tying for eighth among 17 teams at the Bent Creek Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College at Bent Creek Country Club.
Franklin & Marshall won the team title with a 296 while Corey Wenger of Messiah College captured medalist honors with a one-under 70.
After tying his career-low in his last outing, Delaney took two strokes off his previous best. Fellows sliced 12 strokes off his season-low while tying his collegiate-best set last year at the Elizabethtown Spring Invitational. Delaney and Fellow each tied for 16th among 83 golfers.
Sophomore
George Whitelaw also competed and tied for 31st with an 80. Freshman
Austin Smith rounded out the team scoring, trying for 60th with an 85.
Gettysburg continues its season on Tuesday, when it competes at the Ursinus Invitational.
