HARRISBURG, Pa. – Senior Reid Sessa turned in a career-low, even-par 72, leading the Gettysburg College men’s golf team at the Messiah College Falcon Classic, held at the Blue Ridge Country Club on Tuesday.

The Bullets finished with a 336 to place ninth among 13 teams. Messiah claimed the team title with a 302 while Cameron Warner of Franklin & Marshall College won medalist honors with a 71.

Sessa took four strokes off his previous best and tied for second among 69 golfers. It was the lowest round shot by a Bullet since Tom Kefalas ’08 posted a 72 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional on April 7, 2008.

Sophomore George Whitelaw tied for 28th with an 84 while sophomore Jim Fellows tied for 47th with an 88. Junior Colin Quinn completed the team score, tying for 59th with a 92.

Gettysburg closes out its season Saturday and Sunday at the Centennial Conference Championships, hosted by Ursinus College at Stonewall Links Golf Course (North) in Elverson, Pa.
