2010 All-CC Women's Tennis Team
LANCASTER, Pa. – Gettysburg College junior
Katie Taylor (Ocean City, Md./Worcester Prep) was tabbed All-Centennial Conference Women's Tennis Second-Team Singles according to an announcement by the league office on Friday, April 30.
Taylor is the first Bullet to cop all-conference accolades since Masako Yoshida and Tara Schmitt landed on the team in 1998. She was Gettysburg's top player throughout the 2009-10 campaign, posting a 7-9 overall record against some of the best players from the Atlantic South Region. She went 3-8 at the top flight and 4-1 at the second position with two of her losses at No. 1 coming in three sets.
In three seasons as the team's No. 1 player, Taylor has posted a respectable 26-25 record despite playing a bevy of regionally-ranked opponents.
Gettysburg finished the year with a 10-7 overall record and a 4-6 mark in conference play.
