LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's and women's cross country teams were each picked to finish fourth in the Centennial Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, it was announced Monday.
Both Bullets squad finished fourth at last year's Centennial Conference championship.
On the men's side, the Bullets picked up 40 points. Haverford College came in first with 62 points and six first-place votes while defending conference champion Dickinson College received 59 points and three first-place votes. Johns Hopkins University rounded out the top-three with 49 points.
Gettysburg's women's team collected 53 points. Selected first was Dickinson College with 77 points and five first-place votes while defending conference champion Johns Hopkins University was second with 71 points and two first-place votes. Haverford College took third with 70 points and three first-place votes.
The Bullets open their season Sept. 4 when they travel to Franklin & Marshall College for the Little Three Meet.
