Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Preseason Top-20

BALTIMORE – The Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team has been ranked No. 16 in the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Division III preseason poll, it was recently announced.

The Bullets are coming off a 2011 season in which they finished 12-7 and 6-2 in the Centennial Conference to tie for second in the league standings. Gettysburg, ranked No. 12 in the final USILA Division III poll, also advanced to the conference championship game and received an at-large bid in the NCAA Division III tournament before reaching the second round.

Defending national champion Salisbury was ranked No. 1 in the poll. The top-five was rounded out by Amherst (No. 2), Dickinson (No. 3), Roanoke (No. 4), and Tufts (No. 5).

The Bullets play their season opener on Feb. 25, when they host Messiah College in a non-conference tilt.
