CARLISLE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team opened with a pair of doubles wins, but host Dickinson College swept the six singles bouts in straight-sets to complete a 7-2 decision on Wednesday.
 
Gettysburg (2-8, 0-4 CC) began the day with a win at third doubles as senior James Salierno (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and freshman Kyle Shope (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) picked up an 8-2 victory. Senior Chris Curran (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) and Dave Musser (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) added to the advantage by beating Will Golinkin and Chris Mueller-Wolf 8-5 at the top flight. The win was Curran's 37th in doubles play, pushing into fourth place on the program's all-time list.
 
The Bullets narrowly missed making it a 3-0 lead but junior Mike Pratt (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) and sophomore Will Ives (Thetford Center, Vt./Hanover) fell 8-6 at No. 2.
 
Dickinson (3-9, 2-3 CC) swept through singles with no Red Devil dropping more than five total games. Musser won the most games for Gettysburg in a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Ari Blask at No. 2.
 
Gettysburg hosts Ursinus College on Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m.
