COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's tennis team won each of the top five singles competitions in straight-sets en route to a 7-2 victory over Ursinus College on Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (8-4, 3-3 CC) jumped out to a 2-1 lead over Ursinus (5-9, 0-6 CC) with wins at first and third doubles. Seniors Meg Kelly (Beach Haven, N.J./Southern Regional) and Kelsey Boyce (Arrowsic, Maine/Morse) picked up an 8-3 win at the third flight, while sophomore Isabelle Rodriguez (Plano, Texas/Plano) and senior Laura Habecker (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) won 8-4 at No. 1.
 
Each member of the winning doubles tandems won in singles play as well. Rodriguez dropped only two games on her way to a 6-0, 6-2 win at the second flight, while Habecker improved to 7-4 with a 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 4. Kelly added a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 with Boyce clinching a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5.
 
Sophomore Caroline Haymans (Great Falls, Va./Oakcrest) capped the victory with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Heather McMasters at the top flight.
 
Gettysburg returns to action against Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday, April 17, at 4 p.m.
