GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior Chris Curran (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) and freshman Dave Musser (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) each recorded singles victories, but the Gettysburg College men's tennis team fell to visiting Washington College 7-2.
 
Washington (6-9, 3-4 CC) opened with wins at all three doubles flights with each of the top two competitions decided by just two points. Vishnu Rajes and Marc Cywinski topped Curran and Musser 9-7 at No. 1, while Dan Boate and Ryan Holtschneider beat junior Mike Pratt (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) and James Salierno (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) 8-6 at No. 2.
 
Curran and Musser extracted a measure of revenge on Rajes and Cywinski in singles action. Curran won a first-set tiebreaker to top Rajes 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 at the top flight. Musser dropped only four games in the opening set against Cywinski en route to a 6-4, 6-0 win.
 
Gettysburg returns to action at Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday, April 24, at 4 p.m.
