BALTIMORE – Sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins University took full advantage of a short-handed squad from Gettysburg College as the Blue Jays dropped the Bullets 9-0 in a Centennial Conference women's tennis match on Thursday.
Gettysburg (8-7, 3-6 CC) was without the services of four of its usual starters against Johns Hopkins (15-2, 9-0 CC). The Blue Jays lost only two games in doubles play with sophomore

Holly Johnson (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) falling to Elaine Baik and Andrea Berlinghof 8-2 at No. 3.
Johns Hopkins won all six singles competitions in straight-sets and dropped only nine games total. Senior
Laura Habecker (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) took three games off Berlinghof at the second singles flight.
Gettysburg closes the year at home against Haverford College on Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m.
