LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's track and field team finished in a three-way tie for fourth in the Centennial Conference (CC) Preseason Indoor Track and Field Poll.
The poll is voted on by the conference's nine head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.
Gettysburg, which received 37 points in the poll, is coming off a 2015-16 season in which it placed fourth at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championship and sixth at the outdoor conference meet.
The Bullets feature a trio of athletes who scored at last year's Centennial Conference Indoor Championship by virtue of their top-eight individual finish. Junior Willie Nolan (Westport, Conn./Staples) returns after placing fourth in the pole vault, as does junior
Ryan Thompson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) after taking fifth in the long jump and classmate
Thomas Clark (Belle Harbor, N.Y./Poly Prep) after taking seventh in the 60-meter hurdles. In addition, sophomore
Alex Petrecca (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde), sophomore
Thad Cwiklinski (Glen Rock, Pa./York Catholic), senior
Nathan Wojick (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional), and senior
Ben Taber (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) are all back after carrying the distance medley relay team to a bronze medal.
