GETTYSBURG, Pa. – In response to the massive devastation in Houston from Tropical Storm Harvey, the Gettysburg College athletic department is organizing a clothing drive to assist those in desperate need.
The Bullets men's and women's basketball teams will be collecting new or gently used articles of Gettysburg team gear, including shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats, coats, backpacks, and shoes. Items may be dropped off outside of the men's and women's basketball coaches offices on Thursday, Friday, and Monday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. On Monday, all items will be gathered and shipped to University of Houston men's basketball coach Kelvin Sampson, who will deliver them to relief agencies in the area.
