Tennis Teams Close Fall at Shepherd

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Gettysburg College men’s and women’s tennis teams finished up the fall portion of their 2009-10 schedules with non-conference matches at NCAA Division II Shepherd University on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The men’s team claimed a 9-0 decision, while the women fell 5-2.

EMMITSBURG, Md. – The Gettysburg College men’s tennis team kicked off its season by competing at the Mount St. Mary’s Invitational on Oct. 3-4. Senior Dale Beshore and freshman Chris Curran captured third in Flight ‘A’ Doubles, while sophomore Sebastian Rodriguez finished third in Flight ‘C’ Singles.

Baseball, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis Rained Out

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – For the second day in a row, rain has washed out Gettysburg College athletic events. Tuesday’s baseball game at Stevenson University and men’s and women’s home tennis matches against Johns Hopkins University have been postponed. The baseball game has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. while the tennis matches have been pushed back to Thursday at 4 p.m.
