Women’s Lax Picked Third in IWLCA Preseason Poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – One of the biggest goals of the Gettysburg College women’s lacrosse team this spring is to play on its own field in the 2010 NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championships in May. The Bullets are expected to be there according to the preseason poll released by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, which selected the team third overall.

BALTIMORE – All eyes will be on the Gettysburg College women’s lacrosse team this spring as both a national title contender and as the hosts of the 2010 NCAA Division II and III Women’s Lacrosse Championships. The Bullets will head into the new season as a favorite for the DIII crown as the squad was picked third in the DIII preseason poll by Lacrosse Magazine.

Cantele to Head U.S. Women’s National Developmental Team

BALTIMORE – Gettysburg College head women’s lacrosse coach Carol Cantele was tabbed the head coach of the 2009-2013 U.S. women’s lacrosse developmental team according to a release by US Lacrosse on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Cantele was recommended for the position by the U.S. national team selection committee and her appointment was approved by the US Lacrosse Women’s Division Board of Governors.

Women’s Lacrosse Nabs Academic Honor

GRAND LAKE, Colo. –The Gettysburg College women’s lacrosse team turned in a successful campaign on the field and in the classroom in 2009 as the Bullets, coming off an appearance in the NCAA Division III semifinals, were named an Academic Squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA).
