GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll for 2010 according to a recent release by the organization.
Recent graduates
Nicole Ditillo (Baldwin, Md./Fallston),
Emily Gaffney (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles), and
Lauren Woodman (Denver, Colo./Kent), and rising senior
Allegra Formento (Princeton, N.J./Princeton) were each tabbed to the Academic Honor Roll. Both Ditillo and Gaffney were repeat selections.
The quartet joined 184 student-athletes from 81 different institutions on the IWLCA's Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and achieved junior status academically. Among the 81 institutions, Gettysburg trailed only fellow Centennial Conference member Ursinus College (five) in total selections.
Gettysburg, the host of the 2010 NCAA Division II and III Championships, produced another successful season by going 9-0 in the Centennial Conference and 18-4 overall. The Bullets advanced to the national semifinals for the fourth time in the last five campaigns.
