FREDERICKSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team sent four competitors to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional Championships over the weekend.
Senior
Chris Curran competed in the championship singles draw. He dropped his opening match to the University of Mary Washington's Sam Wichlin 6-4, 6-1 before losing to Washington College's Vishnu Rajes 8-1 in his first consolation match.
Sophomore
Scott Johnson played in a pair of singles matches in the B-2 draw. He was upended by Hampden-Sydney College's Zack King 8-4 in his debut match and fell in straight-sets (6-4, 6-0) to Juniata College's Elliot Perow in the consolation bracket.
Gettysburg earned a victory in the B-1 doubles draw as senior
Johnny Nelson and freshman
David Musser scored an 8-4 win over Peter Hawkins and Christian Lynn of Bridgewater College. The Bullet duo's weekend ended with an 8-0 loss to Carnegie Mellon University's Harsha Rao and Joel Lankford.
Gettysburg is off from competition until its spring break trip next March.
